Little Birdie Learns to Fly / Teaches kids to follow their dreams / Hardcover

$13.00

It was a bright sunny morning when Little Birdie broke out of his shell. He was barely an inch long with hardly any feathers.

His nest near the top of a tall tree was in a dense forest. With all the insects and worms that Mama Bird was feeding him, Little Birdie was growing up every day. More and more feathers were starting to cover his body. Weeks went by. One day, when Mama was out looking for food, a strong wind shook the branch that held the nest. Disturbed by the shake, Little Birdie hopped out of the nest into the wide open, landing fortunately on to a nearby branch. Looking around, he noticed how high up he was perched. But he was more curious than afraid when he saw the tall trees and all their branches bending with the wind.

Hardcover

“Little birdie learns to fly” teaches kids to follow their dreams and be relentless.

Author’s note:
Runaway bird and Little birdie learns to fly are the same character different story lines and Freedom, the wolf with a big heart is another character. Are all inspired by my 11 year old son and later new born daughter. We hear stories everyday on TV or social media about instances where a kid has been kidnapped or abducted either by stranger even family members. Children today have a hard time concentrating in school more likely to disengage by the time they reach high school due to the lack of interest. Last, but not least, as parents our intentions are always good when it comes to help our children but doesn’t know how to convey it in a way it would be impactful. The premises for the children books and each illustration align with these analogies. Sort of life imitate arts. Something every parent can find relatable and encouraging.

Book Excerpt

It was a bright sunny morning when Little Birdie
broke out of his shell. He was barely an inch long
with hardly any feathers. His nest near the top of a
tall tree was in a dense forest.
With all the insects and worms that Mama Bird was
feeding him, Little Birdie was growing up every day.
More and more feathers were starting to cover his
body.
Weeks went by. One day, when Mama was out
looking for food, a strong wind shook the branch
that held the nest. Disturbed by the shake, Little
Birdie hopped out of the nest into the wide open,
landing fortunately on to a nearby branch.

Looking around, he noticed how high up he was
perched. But he was more curious than afraid when
he saw the tall trees and all their branches bending
with the wind.

How wonderful, he thought. Wanting to find out
more, he hopped from one branch to another,
gripping with his tiny claws, stumbling at times, but not ready to give up. His tiny wings flapped with each step. They were not tested for flying yet.

The eagle searched for Little Birdie. Not finding
him, he finally flew away. Little Birdie was careful
to wait for some time before he came out of the hole.
Flying low, he got back to his nest without any more
adventures.

Little Birdie told his story to his mama and his new
friends. He was proud of himself for escaping from
the big bird. Everybody was amazed at how brave
he was.

Little Birdie learned from his adventure that he has
to be strong, brave, and clever to survive in a big
world. He practices flying every day, but he is
careful not to take risks.
